It’s that time of year again…the air is getting a little crisper, the holiday decorations are going up on the shelves (UGH), and pet lovers around the world are striving to out-cute, out-create, and by default, out-humiliate their fellow pet owners by dressing their dogs and cats up in pet Halloween costumes.

There are folks that follow steps to make their own costumes, and folks have awesome Etsy stores to sell their costumes, and I keep seeing articles online saying Americans will spend $370 MILLION dollars on pet costumes this year!!

You may have noticed Ruby, our company mascot and resident Bloggin’ Dog doesn’t wait until October to rock a new outfit:

Ruby in a Scully

Santa has a doggy elf! Ruby in a Boa

But he’s sick of entering his picture perfect, chizzled doggy snout in other peoples’ photo contests, and this year he put his paw down and insisted we run one of our own. So…

We’re thrilled to announce the
Cute To Creepy Critter Costume Photo Contest!

Step 1. Head on over to the Facebook page (and make sure you “Like” us).

Step 2. Fill in the entry form and hit us with your best shot. (Kitties encouraged to participate too!)

Step 3. Share the contest with your pet lovin’ peeps on Facebook, Twitter, etc. and encourage them to enter (for a little healthy pet competition) and/or vote for their favorite photos.

Step 4. The pic with the most votes wins a $50 gift card to continue spoiling their little creature, not to mention a lot of social media cred!

Enter as many photos of your furry friends as you desire and vote as many times as their little paws can click! (Perhaps it’s obvious, but your pet should be wearing a costume to be eligible!)

  • Entries and voting end Sunday November 4th, 2012 at 11:59PM.
  • Photo with the most votes will be announced as winner on Monday 11.05.12.

My name is Jacob but my friends call me Jake. Due to some strange cosmic alignment, a high percentage of the rest of the world calls me Jason. So I answer to all three. By day, I'm Chief Geek at MyUntangled Media, LLC, and co-founder of animal charity, Friends of Ruby. By night, I am part struggling musician, frustrated writer, wanna-be chef, and obsessed dog lover. I started this blog mainly to test out new stuff in WordPress, work on my design and writing skills, and showcase some folks with all kinds of talents and great stuff to say. Thanks for getting untangled with us!
