Technology Spotlight Award Finalist

Center for Realtor Technology

Many thanks and tons of gratitude goes out to the Center for Real Estate Technology for selecting me as a finalist for a 2009 Realtor Technology Spotlight Award. They looked at 200 individuals and narrowed it down to just 29 finalists in 4 different categories. I was 1 of 11 finalists in The Pioneer Category.

The Pioneer:
People can always follow the leader, and do what everyone else does – but it’s the pioneer that becomes the leader. They take the technology and push its concepts to the next bounds. If it is combining different ideas, or taking that one feature and having the light bulb moment that everyone else latches onto, they are the ones that stand out and rise to the top. They are the ones to watch and the ones to follow.

I gotta say, when I first read that it really made my day. I pride myself on being different (everyone who knows me is now laughing from reading that…but that’s OK  ). For me, the status quo has just never been an option, it simply doesn’t hold my interest or stimulate my mind. Sure it’s “easier” to be a follower, and carries a lot less risk than living out of the comfort zone, away from the herd and into the unknown. But I’m an entrepreneur to the core and I’ll never stop pushing, especially with all this encouragement…I’m still basking in the glory of our 1st place award from the Massachusetts Association of Realtors!!

Shout-out and thanks to Chris McKeever, CRT Managing Director, for the incredible honor. And of course, congratulations to the winners for all of their achievements!!

Brandon, thank you so much! It's an absolute pleasure to have "met" you through this process and I am proud to stand with you as a Pioneer as well. Congratulations!

Jacob, I want to congraulate you on being a finalist! I applaud you in utilizing technology and not fighting against it. You embrase the future and do not look at the past except for history trends. The Brokerage firms of Massachusetts will start to follow your lead, if they have not already done so. Congratulations on taking 1st place award from the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS! Thank you for the Congratulations, this shows the class you have and professionalism you uphold. Your agents, clients, and customers should be very proud to have you on their side. My hat goes off to you, and continue the great work in Massachusetts, I am proud to stand side by side with you as a Pioneer.
