Get Road Trip Ready with Walmart Auto

The fall season is fast approaching and that can only mean one thing; family road trip! Summer crowds have dissipated but cooler weather and agreeable driving conditions make September the perfect month for our annual excursion. Over the years we have covered many miles and seen many beautiful spots in our great nation. Whether we are enjoying the awe-inspiring colorful spectacle known as New Hampshire’s foliage or island hopping by car ferry along North Carolina’s coast, I always perform auto maintenance and safety checks prior to hitting the road. This year we are headed to the gorgeous state of South Carolina. I recently stopped into my local Walmart Auto department because they have all the car care products I need.

I like to clean the windows before a road trip. Not only does it help me to see better while driving but it also allows my passengers to enjoy a better view of the sights. Walmart has a great selection of car glass cleaner in spray, aerosol, and wipes.

I routinely check the pressure in my tires, especially before a big trip. Properly inflated tires ensure safe and fuel-efficient operation of my car in addition to providing a more comfortable ride. The fall is a good time to do this simple car care task since changing temperatures can affect the inflation of tires.

I always pop the hood and check fluid levels prior to any journey. It is important to make sure my car isn’t running low on engine oil, coolant, or windshield wiper fluid. You can find these products and more at a Walmart near you or online at walmart.com.

Of course, another important fluid I need before heading to South Carolina is gas!
