Twenty of the best minutes I spent in 2013 were occupied watching this Ted Talk by Amy Cuddy. She talks about how your body language not only affects how others see you, but also how confident you feel about yourself in a situation. Cuddy demonstrates “power poses” that one can hold for two minutes to change how you feel. Trust me, you will want to watch this before your next interview, presentation, or big meeting.

I’m a lover of art and creativity in any form of expression. But the stuff that’s totally way out of whack, incredibly different and original, or somewhat geeky and sometimes straight up strange, tends to intrigue me the most. I found this interactive piece by artist Bohyun Yoon to be fascinating to look at and equally interesting to think about putting together.

I can’t decide which of the video remixes from PBS Digital Studios I like best but two of my faves are definitely Levar Burton and Reading Rainbow and Mr. Rogers. Other folks seem to like them too as the YouTube channel has had almost 20 MILLION views in less than two years.

Slowly I’m noticing this blog is being taken over by a bunch of cat lovers. Now don’t get me wrong, I hate cats (and other dogs, for that matter) but I’m open to diversity and have taken to social meOWdia for a better understanding of these strange creatures.
